Miriam Lafontaine

Miriam Lafontaine is a freelance journalist, formerly with the Toronto Star. Before joining the Star she worked as editor in chief of The Link, one of Concordia University's independent newspapers, where she wrote about tuition, sexual violence on campus, and the misuse of student association funds. She has also worked with the Institute for Investigative Journalism as a researcher, where she reported on lead in Quebec drinking water for Global News and Le Devoir. She is a winner of the FPJQ Grand Prize and a Canadian Association of Journalists award for data journalism.
